An actress who broke through as the manipulative Cecile in Cruel Intentions and went on to star in Legally Blonde and the Hellboy films, building a career across studio comedies and genre features. In 2018 she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and rather than step out of public life she documented her experience in the 2021 film Introducing, Selma Blair and became an advocate for others living with the condition. Her 2022 memoir, Mean Baby, extended that candor to her earlier life and career.
