Shaun Weiss became known as a child actor playing Greg Goldberg in The Mighty Ducks films and starring in Heavyweights (1995), after early roles on Pee-wee's Playhouse and Freaks and Geeks. A public and difficult stretch of addiction and arrests in the late 2010s culminated in his getting sober in 2020; he marked two years clean in 2022, returned to film with Jesus Revolution in 2023, and now works as a career coach at an addiction treatment center, mentoring other former child actors through recovery.
