Built Las Vegas Sands into a global casino empire, developing the Venetian Las Vegas, the Sands Expo Center, and the Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore, and later owned Israel's Israel Hayom newspaper and the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He became one of the largest political donors in American history, funding Republican campaigns and causes and backing Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and established a foundation supporting healthcare and Jewish causes.
