Simon Rich was one of the youngest writers ever hired at Saturday Night Live, and later spent time as a staff writer at Pixar, before building a body of fiction — two novels and six humor collections, several first appearing in The New Yorker — that has been translated into more than a dozen languages. In 2015 he adapted his own story collection, The Last Girlfriend on Earth, into the television series Man Seeking Woman.
