Steven Weber spent Wings' entire eight-season run as pilot Brian Hackett, then took on one of horror's most daunting roles: Jack Torrance in the 1997 television adaptation of The Shining, working from a script Stephen King wrote specifically to differ from Kubrick's film. He has since had recurring roles on Chicago Med, iZombie, and NCIS: New Orleans.
