Tavi Gevinson was twelve when her fashion blog Style Rookie made her a public figure, and rather than stay a novelty she used the platform to found Rookie, an online magazine for teenage girls that took feminism and pop culture seriously in equal measure. She later moved into acting, eventually starring in the HBO Max revival of Gossip Girl (2021–2023).
