Wendy Liebman built a stand-up style around gently paced, subtly loaded one-liners, winning the American Comedy Award for Female Stand-up Comedian of the Year in 1996 and appearing on The Tonight Show and Late Show with David Letterman. After a 2014 car accident with a drunk driver set back her career, she competed on America's Got Talent in 2015, advancing to the semi-finals as Howard Stern's wild-card pick.
