Aryeh Eldad headed the plastic surgery and burns unit at Jerusalem's Hadassah Medical Center and served as a senior Israel Defense Forces medical officer before entering politics. He sat in the Knesset from 2003 to 2013 for the National Union, then co-founded and represented Otzma LeYisrael, carrying a career built on treating the wounded into a long run on the nationalist right.
